Follow these steps to create a Word-Search Puzzle. |

Choose MENU: OPTIONS / PUZZLE STYLE / WORD-SEARCH
to switch to the Word-Search Puzzle Style. You should see the green Word-Search logo above
the word list area on the screen. |

Click the NEW button. This will clear out the current puzzle. |

Click GRID LAYOUT. Choose the grid size you want to use and enter a title
for the puzzle. If you will be making a custom-shaped puzzle, make sure the TRANSPARENT
BLOCKS option is checked. |

Click WORD-BANK. Enter the words you want to use or choose an existing
word-list. If you want to create a new word list for use in this puzzle, then click
CLEAR to clear the current word bank and then type each word into the white entry box.
Press the ENTER key after typing each word. If you want to re-use this word-list in the
future, then click SAVE and give the list a name.
If you want use an existing word-bank, then click LOAD, and choose the word-bank that
you want to use.
Click OK to close the Word-Bank edit pad. |

Click LENGTHS. Choose the word directions you want to allow for this
puzzle. If you are using your own word-list, then check the MIN and MAX word length
settings to make sure all of your words will be included.
If you are using the built-in word-list, then you might want to set the MIN length to 4
and the MAX length to 10 for better results. |

If you want to make a puzzle with a custom shape, now is the time to
click on the puzzle grid to place the TRANSPARENT BLOCKS to create the desired shape. |

Click the CONSTRUCT button. WordWiz will now create your puzzle. If you
do not like the results, simply click the button again. |

Click PREVIEW to see how your puzzle will look on paper. Use the PAGE
LAYOUT wizard to make adjustments to the font size and style, and the grid placement. You
can use the SETUP button to change the paper orientation and paper size.
Click PRINT to print the puzzle.
Click CLOSE to return to the main design screen. |
